Theme Park Fun The Gold Coast is Australia’s theme park wonderland, with five different parks to fill every desire. Whether you’re eight or eighty, want a white-knuckle thrill or a stage show, there is something different for everyone. Dreamworld; Warner Bros Movie World; Seaworld; Wet n Wild and Whitewater World rank as the best theme parks in Australia. You can spend a full day at any one of the parks, and many families make multiple trips during their holiday. Movie World, Seaworld and wet n Wild belong to the same company so multi-park tickets are available; as they are for Dreamworld and Whitewater World. * Dreamworld * Movie World * Seaworld * Whitewater World * Wet n Wild A handy tip is take sunscreen, water and even a packed lunch to defray some of the costs. However, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants inside each of the parks. The Parks are open 10am-5pm, every day of the year except Christmas Day and Anzac Day. One day admission cost $66 for adults with Children 3-13 costing $43, but combination passes make it cheaper per visit. Seaworld is smack in the middle of the Gold Coast at The Spit, just north of Main Beach, while the others are all at the northern end around Helensvale and Coomera, about a half hour drive from Surfers Paradise. Get there early to enjoy the best of the rides and parking. Our tip is to grab a site map from the entry kiosk and spend a few minutes planning your fun. Head to the most popular rides straight away – the queues build up quickly. |
